Thanksgiving is exactly a week away and we are looking forward to gathering around a table full of savory food!
We love the idea of family traditions passed on year after year. Whether you are spending the holiday in a warm and cozy house filled with family or meeting with friends at a favorite restaurant, having traditions makes this time of year the best time of year! And that, in and of itself, is something to be thankful for.
One of our favorite traditions is having everyone around the dinner table write down what they're thankful for (one thing). It cannot be cliché, it must be unique to you. Then we all place the paper in a bowl. Once mixed in the bowl, we each draw one (making sure it's not your own) and read it out-loud to the table, one at a time. At that point, we will guess who's belongs to who. So much fun and creates so much laughter!
Another fun tradition is having everyone bring a delicious little dessert and share the recipe on a card. This way, we all leave the evening with a new sweet recipe.
